Website Accessibility Notice
East Pennsboro Area School District is committed to ensuring accessibility of its website for students, parents, and members of the community, including those with disabilities.
The District strives to comply with best practices and standards as defined by Section 504 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for all persons, including those with disabilities.
The District’s website includes a variety of accessibility features, including alternate text descriptions for images, closed captioning for video content, limited use of text-based images and time-based media, the logical tabbing sequence for keyboard-driven navigation, and appropriate color contrast between text and background elements.
All website pages are periodically run through a W3C compliant validation product, currently, SiteImprove, to monitor compliance to WCAG guidelines. We also manually review portions of our website as well as participate in constant web editor education on W3C compliance.
We will continue to test the District’s website to make sure that our content is accessible to all visitors and continue to work to improve our website.
If you would like additional assistance or are unable to access content on the District’s website, please complete our online feedback form. You can also email [email protected] (please include your name, description of the problem encountered, the web address of the material you tried to access, and contact information in case more details are needed (email and phone number)).
Complaints regarding a violation of Section 504 of Title II related to the accessibility of any District webpages that are developed or maintained by the District may be filed with the District using an online feedback form.
