Leesa DeMartyn
Leesa DeMartyn is the assistant principal at East Pennsboro Elementary School. Prior to serving in this leadership role, Mrs. DeMartyn was a classroom teacher for East Pennsboro for 26 years with most years in first grade at West Creek Hills Elementary.
Leesa is an alumni of East Pennsboro Area School District who continued her education earning a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University. Early in her career, Mrs. DeMartyn earned a Master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum with a specialty in Language Arts. Mrs. DeMartyn received her principal’s certification in 2021 from Penn State. Currently, Mrs. DeMartyn is continuing her education at Shippensburg University where she is pursuing her Letter of Eligibility in Superintendency.
Outside of school, Leesa enjoys spending time with her husband of 29 years, Jon, and their 24 year old twins. Joey is an alumni of East Pennsboro and is currently a mechanical engineer. Katie is also an alumni of East Pennsboro and is currently a physician assistant.
Camping, riding bikes, and reading great books are Mrs. DeMartyn’s favorite activities.
As a former student of East Pennsboro Elementary School, where I received a stellar foundational education from phenomenal educators, it is a passion to ensure our students continue to receive the experience to propel each to an amazing future.
