Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? Eager to share some of your business experiences with children? East Pennsboro Elementary is looking for good mentors to reinforce the connection between school and the world of work.

East Penn Elementary is in need of business and community volunteers to present Junior Achievement (JA) lessons to students in grades Kindergarten through Third Grade. The purpose of Junior Achievement is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives. At each grade level, volunteers present a series of five business-related lessons, with all teaching materials and lesson guides provided by JA. Each lesson is approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Please consider volunteering your time to this worthy endeavor. It's never too early to begin career awareness, and you may be the person to spark a child to say, "I know what I want to be when I grow up."

To find out more about Junior Achievement, please contact Mary Reinhard, Program Manager, Junior Achievement of South Central PA at 717-843-8028 or mary@jascpa.org or visit the website at www.jascpa.org.  All classrooms in need of a JA volunteer are listed on the website.

Please note:  For the safety of the students and staff, all volunteers must have volunteer paperwork on file in order to volunteer in any of the district buildings.  For more information please contact the building offices.
