In this year long course you will be learning the foundation of all mathematics & science as we explore the units: Equations in One & Two Variables, Exponential, Quadratic & Radical & Rational Function.

 

In this year long course you will be learning both analytic and coordinate geometry as we explore the units: Points, Lines & Planes, Triangles, and Figures in the Plane.  We will study topics such as congruence, similarity, transformations, trigonometry, area, and volume of various figures in planes.  

 

 

 

In both classes, you will develop reasoning and problem solving skills that will help you in any career path that you choose.  As engaged learners, you will explore mathematics both in a traditional sense on paper, but also in a realistic setting with hands- on explorations and technology immersion on the graphing calculators and computers using various web based programs in addition to Geometry Sketchpad. 

Real world applications are emphasized as we study patterns to motivate and enhance the  mathematical skills being applied.
