EP Students in Grades 4-12 "Shared the Music" on March 31, 2010

Founded to promote a lifelong awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the musical arts, Share the Music Day provides East Pennsboro students the opportunity to experience musical offerings from performing ensembles in grades 4 through 12.  Our day of music serves to build musical esteem and provide a glimpse into the rewarding future of a school career filled with ensemble music.

Share the Music Day involved all performing groups (vocal and instrumental) from the entire district in grades 4-12. They kicked things off at 9:30a.m.  Choruses from West Creek Hills, East Pennsboro Elementary, East Pennsboro Middle School, East Pennsboro Area High School, and instrumental performing groups from the Middle School and the High School took turns performing for each other and then performed a combined instrumental number and a combined choral number. There were approximately 550 students who participated in this event.  All students received a T-shirt with the message “EP Musicians Don’t Stop Believin,” to encourage students to continue believing in their musical education throughout the entire time at EPASD.

Great tunes such as "Feel the Beat, My Heart Will Go On, and Don’t Stop Believin” are just a few of the musical offerings that were performed on March 31.

High School Music Instructor Lisa McIntyre says, "Mr. Williams and I are so pleased with the musical dedication and progress that we have witnessed this year. A day like this simply confirms the pride that our students and community have in their musical abilities and achievement.”
